Terms of Service

Because the Service contains sexually explicit material, UK law requires us to check age with more than a tick box. When age verification is live, you will need to pass a check with our age-assurance partner (Yoti) before you can access adult content. We receive only the pass/fail result and the method used, never your documents, selfie or date of birth. Accounts that fail or refuse the check cannot access adult content.

If you are under 18, you must not use the Service. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor we will close it immediately.

kink.io lets you create, browse and chat with fictional AI characters through text, voice and generated images or video. Every character is invented. Characters are not real people, and conversations, images, voices and videos are generated by software. Nothing a character says is advice, and no character can form a real relationship, make promises or act on your behalf.

AI output can be wrong, inconsistent or surprising. Use your judgement, and never rely on the Service for medical, legal, financial, safety or mental-health information.

• You need an email address (or a supported sign-in provider) and a password to create an account. Keep them private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
• One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer an account, and do not create accounts for other people.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile, or by emailing us (see section 11).

You may use the Service for personal, lawful, adult entertainment. Our Content Policy sets out the detailed rules; the non-negotiable ones are:

• No minors, ever. Do not create, request, describe or attempt to generate any sexual or suggestive content involving anyone under 18, real or fictional, including characters who look, act or are described as underage. This is a criminal offence in the UK and we report it.
• No real people. Do not create characters that depict, imitate or are recognisably based on real, identifiable people without their written consent, and never in a sexual context. This includes celebrities, people you know, and uploading photos or voice recordings of real people.
• No non-consensual, violent or hateful content. No content that promotes or depicts sexual violence as non-fiction, incites hatred against protected groups, or glorifies self-harm, terrorism or serious crime.
• No misuse of the platform. No scraping, automated access, reverse engineering, probing security, circumventing age or content controls, or using the Service to build a competing product or train models.
• No commercial use of generated content without our written permission.

We use automated systems and human review to enforce these rules. Attempting to get around a safety filter is itself a breach of these terms.

Your input. You keep any rights you have in prompts, character descriptions and other material you give us. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that material so we can run and improve the Service, and you promise you have the right to do so.

Generated content. Subject to these terms and to the extent the law allows, you may use content generated for you for personal, non-commercial purposes. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users; we cannot promise uniqueness. Characters published to Explore may be shown to and used by other users.

Our content. The Service, its software, design, trade marks and characters we create are owned by kink.io or our licensors and protected by intellectual-property law.

Takedowns. If you believe content on kink.io infringes your rights or depicts you without consent, follow the reporting steps in the Content Policy. We act on valid reports promptly.

Some features of the Service use credits. Credits are not currently sold. Any credits granted to you during early access are promotional, have no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and may expire or be adjusted when paid plans launch. If we start selling credits or subscriptions, we will publish prices, refund terms and your cancellation rights before you are charged, and update these terms.

We may suspend or close your account, remove content, or restrict features at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or the Content Policy, if the law requires it, or to protect other users or the Service. For serious breaches (especially anything involving minors or non-consensual content of real people) closure is immediate and permanent, and we may report to the police and other authorities.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue after termination.

kink.io is in early access. Features may change, break or disappear, and we may impose usage limits. We will try to give notice of significant changes but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may withdraw the Service altogether.

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, and we are not liable for loss of data, profits or business, or for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for anything arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (which during early access is nil), or £50 if higher.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU you may also rely on mandatory consumer protections and courts where you live.
